Good Ventures awarded a grant of $500,000 to the Usona Institute to support a randomized controlled clinical trial testing the use of psilocybin to treat depression. Research on psychedelics appears to be a neglected and potentially important aspect of drug policy reform, and it's our impression that Usona is one of the leading nonprofits undertaking research on possible medical uses for psychedelics. This grant is part of our work on drug policy reform.
