Good Ventures awarded a grant of $20,000 to the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (Stanford PACS) for general operating support, via Stanford University. We expect this grant to help us influence public discourse about giving and learn about the value of promoting the study of philanthropy in academia.
This award is a “learning grant,” meaning that it’s designed to help us learn more about an organization or cause we find promising. This grant is unrestricted so that the organization can decide for itself how best to translate the funds into impact. Follow our blog, Give & Learn, for updates on what we learn from this grant and others.
