The Open Philanthropy Project awarded a grant of $55,000 via Mission: Launch, Inc. to support a report that Lisa Sangoi is producing on the impacts of drug policy and criminalization on child welfare. Lisa is a Soros Fellow and former American Civil Liberties Union intern, and someone whose leadership the Open Philanthropy Project would like to support.
Open Philanthropy expects that this report will increase awareness of the negative impacts of the criminal justice system and increase interest in criminal justice reform, a focus area of the Open Philanthropy Project.
