The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $44,627 to the Georgetown Center for Global Health Science and Security (GHSS) for general support. Open Philanthropy previously recommended a grant to GHSS for general support in 2017; the goal of this supplemental funding is to collect data about Libya’s pandemic preparedness capacity and also to establish a model process that can be applied in other countries in the region where it is difficult to obtain data due to political instability or ongoing conflict.
This grant falls within Open Philanthropy's work on biosecurity and pandemic preparedness.
