Pratham runs a wide variety of programs to improve academic achievement among educationally disadvantaged children in India. Pratham’s largest program is Read India, which provides basic reading and math lessons to millions of preschool- and primary-school-age children. Pratham’s other programs include computer-assisted learning centers, vocational education for high school students, rehabilitation programs for child laborers and vulnerable children and national surveys of learning levels. Pratham has conducted high-quality evaluations of several of its programs.
