The Open Philanthropy Project awarded a grant of $70,000 to Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) for general support. This grant falls within Open Philanthropy's work on criminal justice reform.
LSPC is a non-profit organization that provides legal support, advocacy, and public education, among other services, to those impacted by the criminal justice system. This funding is intended to support a national conference, to be held in September, that will bring together around 600 formerly incarcerated people to develop a shared agenda around state and national policy reform.
