Open Philanthropy recommended two grants totaling £2,541,797 (approximately $3,148,778 at the time of conversion) over two years to Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) to support its farm animal welfare work in Europe. CIWF will use the grant to continue its corporate outreach on broiler chicken welfare, as well as its efforts to end the use of cages and crates for all farmed animal species.
This follows Open Philanthropy’s January 2022 support and falls within its focus area of farm animal welfare.
