Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of £1,961,252 (approximately $2,670,441 at the time of conversion) over five years to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to support a retrospective epidemiology study led by Professor Charlotte Warren-Gash. This study will use data from UK Biobank, a large-scale biomedical database with data from 500,000 adults in the UK, to study the long-term health consequences of chronic viral infections.
