Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $100,000 to We Got Us Now to support leadership development, training children of incarcerated parents, and organizational strategic planning. We Got Us Now is a national organization seeking to engage, educate, elevate, and empower children of incarcerated parents and raise public awareness about the impacts of parental incarceration.
This follows Open Philanthropy’s August 2019 support and represents an “exit grant” that will provide We Got Us Now with approximately one year of additional support. It falls within Open Philanthropy’s focus area of criminal justice reform.
